Postpartum Doula Services

The journey into parenthood holds mysteries within it; so many unanswered questions, excitement, and worries. Once your baby has arrived and reality sets in,  you may need additional help, a guide, a mindful person who will care for you while you care for your baby. You realize that now more than ever you need your family to support you. In many cases, your family does not live close by, or you may want a different type of assistance. Someone who will provide with with a non judgmental, nurturing touch and up to date information on cring for your baby. Having a post partum doula can really make a difference in the way you experience your first weeks postpartum.

Doulas come in to your life with no judgment. Their sole purpose is to get you on a good start with your new family dynamics. They help you adjust to your new life with baby and provide you with the tools you need to grow into the confident parent you want to be.

Daytime support may include:

  • Lactation Support: assistance with breast or bottle feeding
  • Lactation Referral
  • Newborn Care: diapering, bathing, burping
  • Newborn observation: states, cues & reflexes
  • Preparation of nutritious snacks for mother/partner
  • Sling/baby carrying techniques
  • Baby soothing techniques
  • Assistance with meal preparation
  • Support with siblings care and integration to the new family dynamics
  • Infant laundry
  • Errand running (groceries, baby/mommy recovery related pick ups)

Nighttime support may include the following:
